At Woodlands Primary School our priority is to prepare children to be positive local, national and global citizens. We hope to provide a happy, safe and welcoming environment in which people from all cultures and backgrounds are valued. All children are empowered to succeed in their personal and educational journey and are encouraged to be caring and compassionate individuals, striving for excellence and equality.
We are passionate about promoting equality in all areas of school life and take every opportunity to endorse and advance inclusivity. We consistently encourage good relations and will not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind across any of the protected characteristics (age, race, gender reassignment, disability, marriage and civil partnership, religion and belief, pregnancy and maternity, gender and sexual orientation) in our school community.
In planning the curriculum and resources we have striven to maximise opportunities to engage and endorse different genders, cultures and beliefs and we utilise these within the learning process. We aim to promote a working partnership with all stakeholders and we will seek the advice and views of outside agencies and partnerships with other schools where this is needed. We are confident that Woodlands Primary School will provide a lasting legacy of inclusive attitudes and community cohesion for our current pupils and future generations.
